The olive is a tree that holds a story. The seasons, the soil in which it thrives, the diseases it has overcome, remain as indelible marks in its trunk. The olive grows without ever forgetting its past.
The 300 medals for the finishers of the 3rd edition of Sciacchetrail will be made entirely by hand with pruned olive tree branches from the Cinque Terre.
They will not be perfect, but they will be magical. Like the Cinque Terre and those who lovingly made them, one by one: Christine Godfrey and Nicola Bordoni, creators of Sciacchetrail and owners of Cinque Terre Trekking, not a simple outdoor shop but a laboratory of ideas related to sports in nature.
The medals of Sciacchetrail 2017 want to tell the story of this territory. Its culture of using and creatively reusing natural elements, like stone and wood.
All of this can be found at the new Cinque Terre Trekking shop, built to give emotions to the renovated space in Manarola.
