Tourism and sustainability, Sciacchetrail first at the #Winning Ideas Outdoor Awards

 In blog

The 47 km Ultra Trail on the wine trails of the Cinque Terre recognized as the best project in the category of sustainability at the Outdoor Expo of Bologna.

After awarding hundreds of runners. Opening a horizon on the Cinque Terre through the point of view of verticality.  After working on the previous 3 editions of Sciacchetrail to create a meeting place between the worlds of wine and tourism, by way of sport.  Then one day, without expecting it, the value of an idea, Sciacchetrail, receives recognition.

In fact, on March 2nd our project won the Outdoor Expo #Winning Ideas Outdoor Awards organized by Omnia Relations at Bologna Fiere, in a category that is close to our heart.  Sustainability: economic, social, environmental but above all cultural. New values that define territories.

According to the mapping carried out by Legambiente and the expert jury, Sciacchetrail, nominated along with other brilliant events combining sport and outdoor life, has won recognition thanks to the many votes obtained in the contest on the Outdoor Expo facebook page.

Sciacchetrail has been recognized as a form of tourism that has demonstrated in the field as being able to satisfy the needs of travelers and of their hosts and at the same time protect and improve opportunities for the future.

As good sportsmen, sportswomen and winemakers we cannot hide our pride, not so much for the award itself, but for what has gone into this project; for all that which the path, at times difficult, has taught us. For the volunteers who have worked with dedication and passion.  For the creativity of our community that refuses to resign itself to the banality imposed by mass tourism.

For the Cinque Terre that today more than ever need a new dream to believe in.  And here we know that well. Those who dream can move mountains!

We await you at the 4th edition from March 23-25, 2018. Here is the schedule
