Pre and Post Race Yoga for Sciacchetrail® 2016 runners
Malcolm Bilotta, psychologist, yoga teacher and creator of the project CONSAPEVOLMENTE (CONSCIOUSLY) will lead PRE e POST race yoga sessions in Monterosso during Sciacchetrail weekend.
Yoga is a must for those who love to run.
Keep runners healthy and on the trail/road – this is what yoga can do.
A runner hits the ground about 1000 times per km, with a force 2-3 times his or her body weight. You can imagine what impact this can have on everything from muscles and ligaments to bone structures, even more so after a race like Sciacchetrail.
Simple yoga techniques can be incorporated into your current training program and become routine to eliminate chronic pain, and to strengthen and improve mind and body balance.
Discover how each asana (posture) can be used to resolve a specific need, such as strengthen and stretch the hamstrings, strengthen and increase hip joint mobility, accelerate the recovery process after a training run or race, strengthen parts of the body, or simply function as preparation for an upcoming event.
At the headquarters of the legendary Road Runners, the New York Marathon organizers, yoga classes have been a part of training since the 80s; what are you waiting for to start?
Free with reservation for registered runners.
50 spaces available for each session on 19 and 20 March 2016.
